What do you love about the town your home is in?
The things I love about living in Bon Secour is the quiet oak lined streets, the old town charm where you can still see stars in the night sky, and being so close to the 4 local fisheries.
If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?
I love living in my neighborhood first off because it is gated and it gives me and my family a great peace of mind. Secondly, I love my neighborhood for the swimming pool, it is a great thing to have in South Alabama.
My favorite restaurants around this home are:
We love to eat at and support the local restaurants around our community. There is a great local seafood and steak restaurant called The Tin Top only a half mile down the road. The locals love to go there during the busy summer months. We also love Cobalt for their amazing atmosphere and drinks.
Grocery stores I love to shop at:
There are some good choices when it comes to grocery shopping. Publix is our favorite for its fresh and organic products. We also love Belle Foods, it has been a great addition to the city having opened just a few months ago.
Key points about the property that I/we were drawn to?
When I first walked through my house, the first thing I was drawn to were the hand scraped dark walnut wood floors. Then my eyes were drawn upwards to the vaulted celings. I truly belive this house is a one of a kind. From the exterior french cottage design to the modern inside design, it really is captivating.
Why people should move to this area; why I/we were attracted?
Baldwin county is a Southern gem in Alabama, from the white sugar sand beaches in Gulf Shores to the jubilee that takes place in Mobile bay. You can always find a farmers market or festival going on in many of the small culturally diverse towns sprinkled along the coast.
Any great schools or other things to mention?
Swift School is a great school to send your kids to. It has a small town feel and great teachers.
Anything else you can think of to attract a potential buyer?
We really enjoy the easy and carefree lifestyle that takes place in this area. The great local bars and dive restaurants are some of our favorite "go to spots". Did I mention the sunsets on the beach? How romantic!
What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?
I have really enjoyed being so close to the beaches in Gulf Shores being "only 5 miles away from the house". We are always on the water either paddleboarding, wakeboarding, swimming, or just soaking up the rays.
Average utility costs
The House is very energy efficient with a tankless water heater, which is amazing!! All the windows are double paned, and the large oak trees over the house shade the roof. Our average power bill is around $109.00
