What the owners of 10368 Rosewood Lane, Daphne, AL 36526 had to say about their home and living in Daphne:
The Woodlands Subdivision is situated in close proximity to three wonderful towns: Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Fairhope. The Eastern Shore Mall & shopping Center, Premiere Theater 14 and Eastern Shore Lanes along with many good restaurants are located in Spanish Fort. Fairhope and Daphne have a very active art scene with many galleries, gift shops, and a mixture of high-end and funky artistry shops. Fairhope has 1st Friday art walk and there is live music at many restaurants. You can also take in a breathtaking sunset while having dinner at one the many restaurant.
Living in the Woodlands at Malbis has been a great experience. We could not have asked for a more caring and friendly community in which to live. Though we've only lived here 4 years, we have made lifelong friends. We have holiday parties and many neighbors get together regularly. One rarely pulls into our neighborhood without seeing someone to wave "hi" to.
The neighborhood is just the right size (35 homes) and is situated on a cul-de-sac, so we do not get a lot of traffic. We have beautifully landscaped common areas with flowering shrubs and 2 small ponds with lighted fountains. We will miss the Woodland's at Malbis.
We love to pull out of the sub-division on the right and go to The Smoke House Cafe. We love all their food. They have the best barbecue and ribs in Baldwin County and they are quickly gaining a reputation for their fabulous desserts. The service is delightful and the atmosphere is very nice and quiet.. There are many other restaurants to choose from less than 3 miles away.
We have a brand new Publix less than 2 miles away and a Fresh Market about 5 miles away and Allegri's (Indoor) Farm Market is 3 miles away. The subdivision is situated 3 miles from Rt 10, In addition to Eastern Shore Mall, there and many other stores such as Michael's Crafts, Lowes, Ross Dress for Less, Old Navy, and many restaurants: Ruby Tuesdays, Olive Garden, Wintzell's and many more ethnic restaurants.
We were drawn to this house because it offered so many great features. It has a spacious, open floor plan with 6 floor to ceiling stacked windows in the family room. Allowing plenty of sunshine to brighten your day and a gorgeous staircase. It has exquisite molding through-out and the largest laundry/studio/utility room I've ever seen -- complete with floor to ceiling custom cabinetry and granite counters. Unlike many homes, this house offers tons of storage! My husband was also drawn to the recreation loft area, the bonus room, 3 car garage, and large back yard. The house really is a "showhouse"
The Gulf region is very laid back and relaxed. The beaches are beautiful, the people are friendly; its just easy living. We were not aware that Mardi Gras originated here in Mobile. In the bay area families line the street to watch the parades of elaborate floats and catch beads and prizes. Some adults attend balls and we all indulge in King Cake.
Academically speaking, Daphne schools are some of the best in the State and also have wonderful athletic programs.
There is so much to do here: I took painting and ceramics classes last winter. We're not quite an hour from Orange Beach. We also enjoyed Kayaking, boating, and fishing and golfing.
The home is energy efficient and utilities are very reasonable.
